Joel Dacay is the founder of Tennis Mechanix Academy and REA XN Sports Performance Training, with over 30 years of coaching experience and a lifelong commitment to developing athletes. A certified personal trainer, Joel has trained junior players from around the world and built programs that combine high-level athletic performance with mindset training. He has also been a dedicated community volunteer, contributing to the Jensen-Schmidt Tennis Academy since 2007 and co-founding new initiatives such as Nitro Pickleball to keep athletes of all ages active and engaged. Joel is also a leader of the City of Burbank Parks and Recreation’s Pickleball Programming.
In addition to his work in tennis and fitness, Joel brings a creative side as a content creator on the JD Rockefellas channel and as a consultant and actor in shows like All American: Homecoming. His passion for inclusive sports is reflected in his leadership with the Autism Alliance’s athletic programs and his ongoing involvement in advising HSPLA and working with its founders to turn it into a premier model for youth competition. With his expertise in player development and commitment to community growth, Joel plays an integral role in shaping HSPLA’s mission and vision.
